parental concern - violence in video games

Since then, the book has been with us, parents and "concerned" have causes "increased against certain publications. Videogames have become their latest target, after their efforts failed in the film industry.

There is some evidence that suggests pre-adolescents are affected by violent video games. This should lead to more aggression. E 'for attacks that have serious injuries and deaths resulted, unfortunately, have been associated. I actually have no argumentwith this agreement that under 18 should not play violent games. You will never stop, but!

When I (was a lot!) Disciples, it was not for my friends, their hands on a copy of the movie at least 18 nominal supply has been difficult. Forbidden films were rarely a problem. I am sure that is the same for many of my age, still being pre-adolescents. I can safely say that was never inclined to play any of these acts is indicated! I know of children who came with knives to show first. But they were the ones who do not play video games!

Because of the complexity of this topic, I decided to do some research, like all good writers. And like all good writers, I wanted evidence to support what I thought I already knew! None of my sources found to be in agreement on this point, though, and I found so many conflicting messages out there. For example, there was an interesting book written called "Grand Theft Childhood." The article describes a study of over a thousand children and> Games to play them. They came to the conclusion that it is indeed a link between violent games and aggressive behavior toward others. On the other foot, but also say that I play this game even a minor increase in the level of aggression!

What's happening? And 'certainly one way or another?

Looking at this I wondered if I ever play was just the lack of violent games, or lack of play. Finally, everyone needsde-stress. Perhaps killing virtual cops and pedestrians more stressful game of skill Zuma few hours for some people? Again calling on my experience, I was only allowed a certain amount of time for games when I was younger. Maybe it's the fault of parents for their lack of playing time monitoring?'m Not sure that you adapt well, because you only have this type of action on the screen for a short time to become insensitive, so you can see.

So the answer is to stopdo these games? RockStar Game Studios and guilt are the others? Certainly, the elimination of violence of the games is the population reduces the level of violent crime in pre-adolescents? Does anyone seriously believe that?

There will always be violence, as a kind we are violent, greedy and mean. This is not to change the games to spend the night or the removal of this type. And if you're going to close the BBC, hide all the newspapers and throwTV, you have no possibility of eradication of violence and disturbing images of a child's education!

Perhaps we need to examine the roots of violence. Again, like any good researcher for the project, I typed "root causes of violence" in Wikipedia. The interesting section with a U.S. organization called "U. S. National Commission on the Causes and Prevention of Violence found. There was a very interesting offer made as late as 1969 (40 years ago!), Asthis:

"Children tend to learn from television, because it is never too busy to talk to them, and never to push aside as she does the housework."

The organization was established in 1968, took one year to come to this conclusion. So we should look again to the parents? Have you seen the movie "Cable Guy" with Jim Carrey? In it he plays a cable technician to repair a serious lack of social awareness too much television as a child. What he did not know how to interact with people. This means that the parents of their children sitting in front of the television, rather than teach lessons for life? Are violent reaction to a lack of concern for parents? I disagree in good conscience for what I want. One could easily argue that these messages of violence on television encourages violent behavior.

There may be some truth. Perhaps children can climbbehavioral characteristics of a video game, I know that my friends and I would do this film. I am not referring here particularly a violent streak. But then, if parents see them recite scenes from these movies, they start to panic? Have any questions, which are words or phrases particular bad learned. The distinction between the virtual world and reality, however, usually prevent these features splash in everyday life. This is where I feel the main problems to start. Why do some people have problems with this distinction is not my area of expertise. However, we have lots of news all heard of someone recalling a movie or things go wrong. This is usually because one of the participants took it too seriously. In these situations, I can not help but believe that the person is just mental!

In this sense, is the individual who has a problem? If the question had absolutely nothing to do with the violent> Games, but that some children have mental disorders? I am sure that in some extreme cases, this is certainly true. But talk about all things psychological and putting games / movies aside, what other conditions really cause violence?

And 'generally accepted that differences of all kinds are usually the precursor to violent behavior. It 'very rare for someone to knock someone for no reason. Sun escalation of the dispute and reach a point where no dialogueserves more than one purpose. Sometimes the reasons for rejection can be very thin and it seems that video games are widely than is often used as an excuse in these cases. After all, who wants to appear in court and say they have killed someone, because "what he said about my team?

This brings us back to the main theme. PC and video games can be used as an excuse for this behavior? Are you the impact that caused personal injury AB person? Dignityhave attempted to resolve their differences peacefully C, if Person A did not play video games? not seem to sincerely apologize for any video evidence that when you play as all had no effect, other than the person or parents, using a. There are studies, of course, but appear largely inconclusive.

I say you can not blame video games, violent behavior themselves. It is obvious that they contribute to a certain extent, in some cases. But thenas TV, newspapers, books. But the energy with which some people blaming video games is clearly unfounded. violent conduct after us so long, is a product of all the influences and the environment. There is no single answer.

Personally, I played many violent games and I have touched. Not so much as a parking ticket here. Therefore, in my opinion, the games fault for their behavior is someone with them as an excuse. Or,or was she not understand how they have other factors like friends, the environment or parents are not affected.
