Before driving the working groups of staff development on writing in an elementary school, I asked the teacher at school to complete a short survey to me. The survey asked a teacher for the following terms:
Write three words to describe how they teach you when you hear the students 'writing'.

In my twelve yearslaboratories senior staff member, I learned that teachers love to teach writing or really dislike. We will ask other content area to teach, not just write!
Why is that?
My scientific research has led me to some simple answers. First of all is that most teachers have never been taught how to teach writing. Worse, I have never been taught how to write himself. So how can you pretend to teach something you do not easilyjurisdiction?
Secondly, most teachers agree that having children reread and revise their writing is too difficult. Finally, the teaching of writing is not fun because there are long, difficult and too subjective to the writings of high school graduates', as soon as they were completed, it is. Unfortunately, many students believe that writing is not funny at a time. Writing can be a creative moment, but teachers and students are often too focused on "Getting It Right." They want, text, grammar and punctuationto be perfect. Plus with the letter, there is no right or wrong answers. Grading a paper can often mean to hurt the feelings of the poet or not understanding the importance of the writer. The writing is personal.
Math used to be boring, rote learning of the day are considered. Then teachers and spread the fun, hands-on manipulatives, games and songs to teach mathematics. Spelling was another dry, boring subject until a rap game letter tiles and paving the way formore creative learning time.

Teachers need time to start with daily journal. Both the students a command prompt or students can write freely, the newspaper is only free time.
